My lovely friend Livvy Hukins referred Michelle + Chris to me as she was booked for their date so massive thank you Livvy because this wedding had everything I love!
Michelle + Chris came over from Australia for their wedding, Michelles from Kent and they met not long after Michelle arrived in Australia for work.
Their wedding was colourful, eclectic and quirky with unicorns! and as Kent Wedding photographer I was so excited to to shoot at this new venue called The Winding House in Dover. The only way I can explain The Winding House is that it’s like an industrial London wedding venue set in the countryside! It’s a stunning Victorian building that has been renovated to look contemporary with its high ceilings and exposed brick it’s literally a blank canvas, so you can put your stamp on it.
Michelle has such great taste! Her wedding dress was an alternative embroidered beaut and she had a stunning metal crown with the coolest shoes!
Michelle + her bridesmaids arrived in cars they hired from quirky wedding cars and the ceremony was held at her parents local village church.
The boys had flamingo socks and ties and super cute ice-cream cuffs!
After the ceremony and epic confetti shot we all headed off to The Winding House and I was met with an amazing breakfast room filled with unicorns including a cake by choccywoccydoodah, balloons filled with confetti, and rainbow feather garlands and everyone had High Tea before dinner was served a little later on where Michelles dad read out a letter that she had written to him as a little girl – so cute!
One of the highlights has to be their sumo first dance which was genius! You have to check it out….
If you love the idea of a relaxed, quirky, alternative wedding photographer then do get in touch!
