Some alternative, fun ideas for your wedding…
1 Cool prep location
Eledie hired a house on air b&b, it was cool victorian house with great light and a hot tub! she came back that night with her hubby! It was also cheaper than hiring a hotel… don’t stay further than 20 mins from the ceremony venue, it’ll save on traffic stress and you won’t be paying me to sit in a car 😉
2. Unique ceremony…
Do something different during the ceremony, it could be your vows, an usual song, an outdoor ceremony, a cool ribbon or floral backdrop…
3. Confetti storms!
Want to know how to nail your confetti shot? read my post here
4. Cool Cars + Portraits
Or maybe you know some with a cool car or bike? Ask them to borrow it…
Several smoke grenades make for alternative portraits with a splash of colour.
5. DRINKS & FOOD
Fun drinks and canapés, choose what you love! from gin bars to crepe vans…
Vintage caravan bar (my friend Dianne at www.chicncheerful.co.uk has one very similar to the one above as well as VW camper vans for hire)
or make your own cocktail bar
Get creative and make some cool stand out pieces (David loved Jurassic Park!)
It really helps break peoples barriers down, some guests may have never even met so it encourages people to relax and let their hair down… Fancy dress (borrow or ebay), beer pong, vintage fair ground games (hire or make)…
Festival face painting! and the boys will definately get in on this too! 😉
8. Pets at weddings!
Yes please!! Always a talking point and make for cute photos!
9. Alfresco baby!
Outdoor first dance or cake cutting! (weather permitting – love these!)
11. Wrap Up
If you’re venue allows it when not have a fire pit in the evening with toasted marshmallows? and give your guests cute blankets
10. PARTY TIME!
Crazy dance floor shots! (OK so I can’t make your guests do crazy stuff but hopefully by this point (normally after the first dance people start partying) there will be hair flicking, ceiling pointing and lot’s of shape throwing and sometimes the occasional horse head… I LOVE this part! Some of my couples give their guests dance floor props and they always go down well!

12. Cigars for the boys (or girls!)
Definately not condoning smoking! ha but the boys seem to like them at weddings!
